# Friday's FTB: No NHL hockey tonight

Tonight the NHL is dark. Last night the Oilers beat Dallas to make it a complete repeat of last year's final. Schedule to be announced. 

While that was going on, the Leafs waved goodbye to Associate Coach Lane Lambert.

Lambert was in charge of the PK and also the defence. 

At 7 pm tonight, the Memorial Cup semifinal is on TSN between London and Moncton. The winner will face Medicine Hat in the final on Sunday.

If you missed Brad Treliving yesterday: 

This was a very remarkable presser. Long and detailed and coving topics not usually dealt with in any depth. And yet, absent any real news. (For example, word on that coach who left later the same day.)

Someone didn't like how Treliving's lack of willingness to say he'd even offer Mitch Marner a contract landed:

This Brock Nelson news is a surprise. You'll see me mention later today that Nelson will likely sign with the Wild, and I still think that is plausible. 

> There appears to be mutual interest from both the Avalanche and Brock Nelson in exploring a new contract. How that may look is too early to tell, but Nelson is open to that possibility and talks between the Avs & his agent are expected to pick up in June.
