Happy Thursday, everyone.

Yesterday was fun, in that it seemed (for a couple hours, at least) like two amazingly dumb teams were going to do something amazingly dumb together.

The only loser in this scenario is Erik Karlsson. Sadly, it all turned out to be a trade tease.

We all know that Jim Benning is [physically incapable](https://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/nhl-jim-benning-canucks-fine-1.3656322?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) of lying to the media, so sadly this means that we’ll just have to wait and watch both teams do spectacularly dumb things with other people.
