#### World Championships

We won! WOOOOOOO! Vladimir Putin even made a surprise visit and thanked Canada for bringing this great game to the world.

[Canada shuts out Finland 2-0 to retain world hockey championship title - The G&M](http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/hockey/canada-beats-finland-2-0-wins-world-hockey-championship/article30116347/?cmpid=rss1&ref=pensionplanpuppets.com)  
Finland came into the final undefeated with a 9-0 record and had a chance to become the first country to win the world under-18 championship, world junior championship and world championship in the same year. They fell one game short, but draft-eligible rising star Laine was named the tournament’s most valuable player.

The Leafs saw some good performances out of their players this tournament!

#### Stanley Cup Playoffs

Meanwhile Tampa made things interesting in the Stanley Cup Final, taking a 3-2 lead in the series. The pressure is now on Pittsburgh who have to win Game 6 back in front of a hostile crowd in Tampa.
