Editor's Note: Obviously, SBN United offers us a lot more options for how we want to display the stories and videos that we post. One thing we want to do on the front page is concentrate on the original writing that we do without hurting the daily discussion that takes place on the site and especially in the FTBs.
What we are going to try for now is to feature the current day's FTB in the cover (barring something big happening) and then having one or two (we'll see) of the previous ones in the river (ie the chronologically ordered stories below the cover). Once they fall out of that period they won't be on the front page but they'll still be collected in the "From The Branches" hub (found under "sections" in the toolbar) with the three latest featured in the cover there. Make sense? Good.
Last week, after it was announced that the lockout was on, I asked the PPP community when they felt the next NHL regular season game would be played. Answers were all over the board. Only two people thought the season would start on-time on October 11th. The most popular choice was January 1st, 2013; the date of the Winter Classic. ADMIN BOT 3000, may he rest in bits and pieces, said March 31st. And six people feel that the entire season is lost.
