Garrett Sparks gets a shutout in his NHL debut. A seventh round pick doesn't get the highest of hopes, but he put the work in, climbed the hockey ladder from Junior to the A to the E back to the A then to the big show. If he plays Wednesday, which Babcock has said he will if Reiner can't, vs the Jets he'll have a bigger challenge in front of him.
The Oilers, as stacked as they are with top lottery picks, are a bad hockey team. That is the curse that came with the wish Katz made to get that many first round picks. Damn monkeys paw. The Thrashers are not that bad of a team. They may be a transplanted orphan of a team but they're no slouches either.
Let's make sure to keep expectations low, remember, once Reimer is healthy, Sparkles goes back to the Marlies.

This is a preview of last nights game, but Justin Fisher's trolling was on point last night.
