The Maple Leafs beat the Flyers last night, and William Nylander has made his mark on the Maple Leafs rookie record book.

When Nylander scored his power play goal last night, he reached 9 on the season, and now sits tied for first on the Leafs rookie record books for power play goals in a rookie season - tied with Dan Daoust, Alexander Steen, and Walt Poddubny. One more and he sits alone on that list.

I mentioned these in the preview yesterday, but here are the Maple Leafs rookie records, along with where the kids stand:

Most goals:
1 - Wendel Clark - 34
3 - Auston Matthews - 31
3 - Daniel Marois - 31

Most Assists:
1 - Gus Bodnar - 40
3 - Mitchell Marner - 37
3 - Steve Thomas - 37
3 - Bob Nevin - 37

Most Points:
1 - Peter Ihnacak - 66
6 - Auston Matthews - 55

Most Power Play Goals:
1 - William Nylander - 9
1 - Alex Steen - 9
1 - Dan Daoust - 9
1 - Walt Poddubny - 9

Most Short Handed Goals:
1 - Zach Hyman - 3

Most Game Winning Goals:
1 - Auston Matthews - 6

It looks like we’re having a record breaking season. Now can we make the playoffs please?
