Monday’s FTB: The march to the playoffs begins today

The Leafs are in Nashville, the kids are alright.

We have put the bye week and All Star break behind us and now have two and a half of uninterrupted Maple Leafs hockey ahead of us. The Maple Leafs are in Nashville already, preparing to take on the Predators and we have Jake Muzzin returning, Auston Matthews is ready to play after sitting out the All Star Game and Marlie Tyler Gaudet will be joining the team for this road trip.

Tyler has the perfect time to escape the Marlies, as the team hasn’t been performing very well since Sheldon Keefe left; by not very well they’re now fifth in the North Division and 16th overall in the AHL.

The littlest Leafs, the Newfoundland Growlers, have been doing okay. They have won 12 of their last 15 games, and the losses have been nice and close. Last night it was a 7-6 shootout loss to the Brampton Beast. If you missed them here this weekend, the Growlers will be back in the GTA on March 10th, which is Twonie Tuesday, which means $2 from every ticket goes to local youth hockey programs, $2 mystery merchandise, and other Twonie themed prizes and games.

Now here are some more links to fill out this post, feel free to skip them and go straight to the comments.

The Rangers have loaned Lias Anderssson to Sweden now.

Centre of Leafs Nation keeps reviewing the season so far.

When they stop rebuilding.

You hate to see it. (No you don’t)

Would this be a Dumb(a) trade?

It would be silly to spend the money for five more years of the Senators.

Enjoy your day everyone, and I hope you’re already in the comments telling me I spelled twonie wrong.
