Captain Logan Shaw scored twice and added an assist on the overtime winner as the Toronto Marlies beat the Utica Comets in a 6-5 thriller in Game 1 of their second round series. Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, Pontus Holmberg, and Topi Niemelä all scored in the Leafs win. Marc Johnstone got an assist and led the Marlies with six shots (tied with SDA). Keith Petruzzelli made 39 saves on 44 shots in the manic win. Species will have a recap of the game out sometime today. Be sure to keep your eyes out for that. > Game #2 is Saturday afternoon. Dryden McKay made 27 stops in the win, with Matt Hellickson, Zach Solow, and Jack Badini also scoring. Leafs prospects Mikko Kokkonen and Tommy Miller both got assists in the win.
