Have we run out of trades already? - Author: Adam Selvig - Tags: From The Branches Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans! The 2024 NHL Trade Deadline is tomorrow afternoon at 3:00PM, and teams didn't want to wait until then, and a flurry of activity happened yesterday. Except in Toronto, but you just wait. Ol' Bradley Pizza has something up his sleeve. Let's skip the blah blah and hit the links. Late Tuesday night the Vegas Golden Knights added Anthony Mantha from Washington to the team for a 2nd and 4th round pick. All for a conditional 4th and a 3rd. [Sens Trade Vladimir Tarasenko to Florida for PicksTarasenko had 17 goals and 41 points in his 57 games with Ottawa.![](https://www.silversevensens.com/content/images/size/w256h256/2023/06/S7Cup_FullColour_ClearBG-1.png)Silver SevenBeata![](https://images.unsplash.com/photo-1605723517503-3cadb5818a0c?crop=entropy&cs=tinysrgb&fit=max&fm=jpg&ixid=M3wxMTc3M3wwfDF8c2VhcmNofDF8fGZsb3JpZGF8ZW58MHx8fHwxNzA5NzI3MjY1fDA&ixlib=rb-4.0.3&q=80&w=2000content/images/size/w1200)](https://www.silversevensens.com/sens-trade-vladimir-tarasenko-to-florida-for-picks/?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) Ottawa retains 50% of his salary, and the 4th becomes a 3rd if the Panthers win the cup. And that Senators blog ends the story with a line about the Leafs, because of course. The Colorado Avalanche made two deals, the first was with the Philadelphia Flyers, bringing in defender Sean Walker and a 5th round pick and sending out Ryan Johansen and a 1st round pick. [TRADE: Avalanche Acquire Defenseman Sean Walker; Johansen Headed The Other WayJust a week after the Colorado Avalanche missed out on Chris Tanev, they’ve gone and acquired a different right-shot defenseman. Sean Walker, who has had a tremendous season with the Philadelphia Flyers, is headed to the Avalanche. Colorado will also received a 2026 fifth round pick in the trade. The Flyers put Johansen on waivers right away. The other Avalanche deal was a straight up hockey trade with Bowen Byram leaving Colorado and heading to Buffalo for Casey Mittelstadt. [TRADE: Avalanche Go Big, Acquire Casey Mittelstadt For Bowen ByramColorado Avalanche general manager Chris MacFarland was a very busy man on Wednesday. Just a few minutes after news broke that the Avalanche had moved on from Ryan Johansen and acquired defenseman Sean Walker from the Philadelphia Flyers, the other domino fell. Finally, the New York Rangers brought in Alex Wennberg from Seattle for a 2nd and 4th round pick.
