We had an exciting night last night against the Winnipeg Jets\*, and Auston Matthews continued his quest to dominate the Leafs, and other, record books. First up, Auston Matthews is the fastest player in Maple Leafs history to 600 points by reaching that number in 527 games. He is also the 8th player to reach the 600 point mark, following his line mate Mitch Marner (608) there. He is on pace to pretty much break almost every points record the Leafs have. Points record is held by Mats Sundin with 987 and Matthews currently has 600. The goals record is also Mats Sundins at 420 and Matthews is 82 goals away from there at 339. Sundin also owns the even strength goals record of 273, and Matthews has 254 of those. Power play goals? Sundin again with 124\. Matthews has 85. Game winners? Sundin had 79, Matthews is at 57. Wanna toss a hat? Matthews (11) is only eight away from breaking Darryl Sittler's record of 18. The one points record he may never break is Börje Salming's assist record of 620, but Mitch Marner may do that as he is sixth all time with 418.
