Mike Babcock and Kyle Dubas are getting a final look tonight at the group of players that will mostly form this season’s Toronto Marlies. I’m pretty sure Babcock wants a win regardless given it’s the Red Wings.

There’s still a possibility a standout performance tonight could move a player up to the Maple Leafs to start the season. This is a critical game for these players. They have to show every skill and method to contribute they have in their arsenal. The regular season officially starts on Tuesday night when all teams have to be formally roster and cap compliant.

Our heroes face a difficult task, but the power of the Crystals is behind them!

*Birthed from womb of Ricoh’s maw*
*And borne unto the stars*
*By light and darkness cast aloft*
*Are dreamtide oaths resworn*
*Toronto is swathed in ever-light*
*Ne’er again to know eclipse*
*Stanley Cup, with hallow’d bounty reconciled*
