# James Reimer is the Leafs' nominee for the 2016 Masterton Trophy

[James Reimer](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54304/james-reimer?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) has only ever known two NHL teams: the [Toronto Maple Leafs](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/teams/toronto-maple-leafs?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com), who drafted him 99th overall back in 2006, and the [San Jose Sharks](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/teams/san-jose-sharks?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com), who the Leafs traded him to on Feb. 27, just a month ago.

Outside of five games for the Sharks, he's played his entire career for Toronto. That includes 32 games from this season: 32 games over which he posted a .918 save percentage, rebounding from the .907 save percentage he had the year before. Reimer had a great season on what was very clearly a rebuilding team, and for that, he's getting some recognition - even though he isn't on that team anymore.
