# Kapanen goes to his knees to pass to Soshnikov

The Toronto Marlies are cutting through the St. John's IceCaps like a hot knife through butta. In the first period they've gotten all of six shots on goal -- four of them have gone in, two from powerplay goals. IceCaps took three minor penalties in a row, and the Marlies capitalized on an undoubtedly tired goaltender in the last two of those.

And then there was this ridiculous move. [Kasperi Kapanen](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/246176/kasperi-kapanen?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) cuts through two penalty killers, drops to his knees to extend his reach, passes through another IceCap player to Soshnikov, who nets a beauty of a goal. I have to wonder, though -- does Kapanen have to trip at least once for each of his beautiful plays? Maybe it's part of his charm.
