# Leafs Acquire David Steckel

The [Toronto Maple Leafs](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/teams/toronto-maple-leafs?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) have traded a fourth round pick to New Jersey for [David Steckel](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54350/david-steckel?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com). One time David Steckel scored 19 points in a season (his career high) and another time he killed [Sidney Crosby](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55428/sidney-crosby?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com).

But don't just believe me: check out his awesome skating in the above picture! Steckel's under contract this year and next for $1.1M. Thinking positively: a fourth round pick is worth less than a ham sandwich, so at least the price is right. Maybe this means one of our eight billion depth centers is on the move.
