The Leafs will look to continue their early season success against the uglier-than-Yeti boys from Denver. Take the jump for some thoughts on the matchup and the projected rosters.

[Jean-Sebastien Giguere](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54527/jean-sebastien-giguere?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) and his surgically repaired groin make a visit to the ACC tonight. The Avalanche are coming off a big shootout win over the Habs on Saturday, and have scored an impressive 17 goals through their first five games. I caught a bit of the Avs-Habs showdown and I wasn't really impressed by Colorado. Mostly, Carey Price stunk up the joint. One thing the Leafs *do* need to be concerned about is the penalty kill. Colorado has six powerplay goals so far and their top-six is fairly talented. [Matt Duchene](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/72479/matt-duchene?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) and future Leaf [Paul Stastny](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55485/paul-stastny?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) provide one of the best one-two punches at center in the NHL, and they're flanked by some decent goal scorers. [David Jones](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55504/david-jones?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) and [Milan Hejduk](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55483/milan-hejduk?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) will need to be watched closely by the Leafs defense.
