The 95th NHL season for the [Toronto Maple Leafs](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/teams/toronto-maple-leafs?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) has come to a close. They will miss the playoffs for the seventh straight year, which becomes the longest current drought in the league. It will be five months until we see the blue & white step on the ice again, hopefully with some major roster changes in key positions. Over the next week or so we'll all hear a ton about what went wrong and who deserves blame (actually, we've already seen a lot of this), but there are some good things to take away as well. The Leafs will draft first, fifth, or sixth overall in June, which gives them a solid shot at selecting Sarnia Sting center Alex Galchenyuk. [Phil Kessel](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54905/phil-kessel?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) scored 82 points in 82 games, which makes him one of [only eighteen forwards](http://www.hockey-reference.com/play-index/psl%5Ffinder.cgi?request=1&match=total&year%5Fmin=2006&year%5Fmax=&season%5Fstart=1&season%5Fend=-1&age%5Fmin=0&age%5Fmax=24&birth%5Fcountry=&franch%5Fid=&is%5Factive=&is%5Fhof=&pos=F&handed=&c1stat=games%5Fplayed&c1comp=gt&c1val=75&c2stat=points%5Fper%5Fgame&c2comp=gt&c2val=1.00&c3stat=&c3comp=gt&c3val=&c4stat=&c4comp=gt&c4val=&order%5Fby=games%5Fplayed&ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) to score at a PPG pace (before age 25) since the lockout. And we've seen the last of [Jonas Gustavsson](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/72169/jonas-gustavsson?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) in a Toronto uniform.
