### Game 12: Toronto Maple Leafs vs. San Jose Sharks

#### Scotiabank Arena, 7:00 PM

**Channel: Sportsnet1**

After an exhausted, seasick performance against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday, the Leafs will try to get back in the win column tonight against some (very) old friends.

That’s right y’all: it’s Shark Week.

### Toronto Maple Leafs

Andreas Johnsson - Auston Matthews - William Nylander
Ilya Mikheyev - Alexander Kerfoot - Mitch Marner
Trevor Moore - Jason Spezza - Kasperi Kapanen
Dmytro Timashov - Nick Shore - Frederik Gauthier

Morgan Rielly - Cody Ceci
Jake Muzzin - Tyson Barrie
Martin Marincin - Justin Holl

Frederik Andersen
Michael Hutchinson

The Leafs’ last game was an atrocity exhibition, with fatigue, travel, injuries and backup goaltending as only partial excuses. Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner looked like butt together, although the Bergeron line has done that to many a strong opponent.

Morgan Rielly missed practice yesterday but is said to be good to go tonight.

### San Jose Sharks

Timo Meier - Logan Couture - Patrick Marleau

Evander Kane - Tomas Hertl - Kevin Labanc

Barclay Goodrow - Joe Thornton - Noah Gregor

Marcus Sorenson - Dylan Gambrell - Melker Karlsson

Marc-Edouard Vlasic - Brent Burns

Brenden Dillon - Erik Karlsson

Mario Ferraro - Tim Heed

Martin Jones

Aaron Dell

San Jose is coming off a win in Montreal last night, but they’re saddled with one of the weakest starters in the league, the generically-named Martin Jones. Jones has helped them dig a hole in the early going that they are now trying to climb out of, led by none other than our former Team Dad, Patrick Marleau.

Our beloved Patty M. is not most people’s idea of a first-line winger at this stage, but he’s been quite productive in early going for SJ, putting up six points in six games since signing. There might still be some gas in that tank, and I think we’d love for him to have some success. Just not tonight. (I know, ex-Leafs always get goals against us.)

The Sharks have an aging but still incredible top four led by two of the best offensive defencemen alive, and they can still score. If their goalies can learn to stop beach balls they still ought to be a good team. Again, just...hopefully not tonight.

Go Leafs Go!
