How are you this fine Monday morning? The Leafs are getting healthier, and it seems like a good time to update the state of the ailing defenders who could or will play for the Leafs.

Still injured

### Calle Rosen

Last night Calle Rosen played his first game for the Marlies since he injured his foot. Today, we’ve learned this:

### Martin Marincin

### Travis Dermott

The word is he likely won’t play today, but will soon.

### Jake Gardiner

He skated in a non-contact jersey at the optional skate today, and he’s skated several times lately before practice. I’m not absolutely confident he’s coming back soon, but this is better than nothing.

### The Marlies

Heading into the playoffs, and about to lose Calle Rosen just when he’s back to playing, they’re otherwise doing okay. Frank Corrado is out for the season, it seems, and Steve Oleksy left the most recent game with some sort of injury, but Joe Duszak was impressive in his first game where he played three-on-three overtime for the first time ever.

The Marlies also have Eemeli Rasanen, who they haven’t played yet, and Rasmus Sandin and Timothy Liljegren are both healthy and doing well, so all is right in their world.

They would likely enjoy a healthy Borgman back, but there’s not going to be any rush put on his return.

And, in case you’ve lost track of all the contracts Kyle Dubas is burning through lately, there’s Mac Hollowell who can join up on an ATO if something very unusual happens to the Soo Greyhounds, and they get beat out of the playoffs early.
