# Maple Leafs players face the press

Just before the very delayed media availability began, the Leafs announced that President of Hockey Operations, Brendan Shanahan would not be present. Joe Woll has also been returned to the Marlies.

There were extreme delays of nearly two hours getting this all started. The videos of the player comments will have to speak for themselves, but if you only watch one, go for Auston Matthews (and Ilya Samsonov).

No one is very clear on their injuries other than Samsonov saying he had a neck injury. Matthews allows as how something was bothering him, but he is firm in drawing lines under things and refusing to answer in more detail.
