# Advanced Stats Just Starting To Catch On

It's been a long time coming, but the Moneypuck revolution is here. NHL teams are finally cottoning on to what is becoming a very useful set of tools for evaluating player performances. Desjardins's work at behindthenet.ca has gained a large following in the past several years, but NHL teams have only recently begun to reach out to him for help. At a cost of up to $200 an hour, he now dedicates roughly eight hours a week during the season to the endeavour.
