# Tomas Kaberle Wins The Stanley Cup

There are a lot of great story lines that were wrapped up last night, but easily the best of the bunch is that [Tomas Kaberle](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54289/tomas-kaberle?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) will see his name engraved on the Stanley Cup. Congratulations Kaba, you deserve it.

Even if [Canucks](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/teams/vancouver-canucks?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) fans, this time green with envy, decided to do their best Montreal imitation and burn cars ([some of which were police cars](http://yfrog.com/kglm3kj?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com)), [injure Bruins fans in the vicinity](http://yfrog.com/khb4ajj?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com), smoke pot [in front of young children](http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/british-columbia/rioting-overshadows-hockey-as-vancouver-reels-after-game-7-loss/article2062706/page3/?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com), and [fight riot police](http://images.scribblelive.com/2011/6/16/2e315938-c76c-4ddf-b2e3-e895b52bf686%5F500.jpg?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com), there were a lot of fun moments that I'll remember. Mostly, I'll remember smiling because the Canucks lost, but [Tim Thomas](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54839/tim-thomas?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) and [Mark Recchi](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55054/mark-recchi?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) both defied standard linear time to put in great performances, not to mention the great efforts by [Brad Marchand](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54897/brad-marchand?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com), [Zdeno Chara](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54877/zdeno-chara?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com), and [Patrice Bergeron](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54879/patrice-bergeron?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com).
