Colton Sissons is a 32-year-old right-shot centre who is coming off one year in Vegas after a long career in Nashville. He is not an offensive force, nor is he as good defensively now as he was at his peak age in Nashville, but he is a centre who can PK, play third-line minutes if he has to, or he can contribute on the fourth line. He is also very capable at defensive zone faceoffs.

That sounds like a weak resume for a player today, but with Jack Roslovic costing $4 million, the Leafs had to pay the going rate to fill in their serious need. Sissons is very similar, just a little more defensive and less offensive. 

Crucially, his major attribute is impacts on quality of shots against, and his overall defensive impacts are very good.
