# Marner, Dermott make Team Canada roster

Hockey Canada has announced their official roster for the 2016 World Junior Championship in Helsinki, and there are a couple familiar names for Leaf fans:

On the roster are the Leafs' first two selections in the 2015 [NHL Entry Draft](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl-draft?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com): forward Mitch Marner and defenseman Travis Dermott. Marner has 22 goals and 58 points in 25 GP with the London Knights of the OHL. Dermott has 2 goals and 27 points in 29 games with the OHL's Erie Otters.

Marner and Dermott join [William Nylander](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/246220/william-nylander?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com), potentially [Dmytro Timashov](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/257873/dmytro-timashov?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) (Sweden), and [Kasperi Kapanen](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/246176/kasperi-kapanen?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) (Finland) as Leaf prospects that will be playing in Helsinki.

The World Juniors begin on December 26, with Canada playing the United States at 1:00 p.m. EST. A must-watch for Leaf fans will be watching Marner and Dermott face off against Nylander and Timashov when Canada plays Sweden on New Year's Eve.
