He's been a Bruin, an [Avalanche](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/teams/colorado-avalanche?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com), and a Ranger, but the one thing he's never done is score a goal for the [Toronto Maple Leafs](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/teams/toronto-maple-leafs?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com). In 42 games as a Leaf, Hunwick has 5 assists and 26 PIM -- and after tonight, 1 goal.

Deployed on the top D-pair with Morgan Rielly tonight, Hunwick clocked a team-leading 23:58 before being sent out onto the ice for the last push before the buzzer.

JP Nikota described the play thus: "Fortunately for the good guys, with just 12 seconds left in regulation, Bozak won an offensive zone draw back to Matt Hunwick, who hesitated, and then blasted a point shot past Neuvirth to put the Leafs ahead with just 7 seconds left."
