# [Monday's Leafs Links] Things Are Happening!

The NHL's lower-than-expected 2014-15 salary cap isn't putting too much of a damper on player movement, these days.

There weren't many deals to go down at the draft, but those that did were of considerable size, as star players [Ryan Kesler](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54467/ryan-kesler?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) and [James Neal](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55188/james-neal?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) were both traded. [Carl Gunnarsson](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/72010/carl-gunnarsson?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) of course, was on his way out on the second day of the draft, as well.

The nuttyness continued yesterday as we learned that [Christian Ehrhoff](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54754/christian-ehrhoff?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) would be bought out, [Sam Gagner](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55127/sam-gagner?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) was traded -- twice -- only to see another familiar name in [Ed Jovanovski](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54638/ed-jovanovski?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) get bought out. There were a couple smaller moves, as well.

The biggest news over the last 24 hours for Leafs fans is that [James Reimer](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54304/james-reimer?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) has now [formally requested a trade](http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/529603?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com). From The Score:

I guess really, it's not "news", since we'd been told months ago that Reimer wanted out of Toronto, but still. It'll be sad to see him go.
