# New Block Feature Behaviour

The commenting system we use at PPP has always had a block feature, it's functionality has changed. From the developers: 

> We’ve added an update that changes how user-to-user blocking works:

> Previously, blocking was mutual. If `user1` blocked `user2`, neither could see each other’s comments. Now, it’s one-way. If `user1` blocks `user2`, `user2`’s comments will be hidden to `user1`. But, `user2` won’t notice anything.

> Users will now see a descriptive message, instead of the earlier generic one. They can also easily unblock the user.

> The 500 blocks per website per user limit **no longer applies**. Users can now block an unlimited amount of users.
