### Toronto Maple Leafs @ Boston Bruins
07:00 PM at TD Garden
Watch on: TVAS, TSN4, NESN

###

The Leafs last game was away on February 23 against the Chicago Blackhawks, which Toronto won by a score of 5-2 in regulation. The Leafs have a record of 35-20-2 for a 0.632 Points %.

The Boston Bruins last played at home on February 22 against the Anaheim Ducks. The Bruins lost by a score of 3-2 in overtime, and their current league record is 27-24-7 for a 0.526 Points %.

### Them

Hampus Lindholm is out for the season, Charlie MacAvoy is week-to-week after 4-Nations. Matthew Poitras is a contemporary of Fraser Minten and is replacement level at this point in his career. Justin Brazeau is big, and the Bruins have two fourth lines. Good fourth lines, but nonetheless.

Hockey Reference has this good visual for a season. ([Go here if you want to see it brighter](https://www.hockey-reference.com/teams/BOS/2025.html?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com))

The new coach effect was very short-lived. And that's to be expected. Their top line can do damage, but if you asked me if the Leafs should get Elias Lindholm as a 3C, I'd decline – nothing to do with cap hit. Brad Marchand did not impress me at 4-Nations, and I thought he failed at what he tried to do a lot of the time.

The Eastern Wild Card spots will go to two bad teams, and Boston might be one, but I'd go with Columbus before them. They aren't going to add at the deadline, and yet they might be in stasis and too stuck to subtract like they likely should. There's talk of retooling, but that can mean anything.

That said, Boston will always play its best game against the Leafs.

### Us

The Leafs played well enough in their weekend games to get two wins heading into a fairly difficult road trip. They will be coming off a game in Vegas and getting ready for the Avs on Deadline Day, so it's got to be all business from now on.

They're reported to be going with the same lineup from Sunday.
