In case you missed it, the Sceptres beat the Frost 3-2 in their opening game, with London's Julia Gosling scoring twice. 

The goalies were [notable](https://www.thepwhl.com/en/news/2025/may/07/gosling-s-two-goals-power-toronto-to-game-1-win-over-minnesota?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com): 

> **Kristen Campbell** has yet to allow more than two goals against in a game through six career playoff games.

> **Nicole Hensley**’s 34 saves set a new career postseason high, surpassing her previous best of 32 saves in a 1-0 double-overtime win over Boston in the 2024 PWHL Finals. Entering the game, Hensley had allowed just two goals across her previous four playoff appearances, spanning 278:29 of ice time.

In the other semifinal, Ottawa beat Montréal 3-2 largely on the back of goalie Gwyneth Philips, the same rookie who came into the Women's Worlds finals for USA and helped win a gold medal. That series' Game 2 is on Sunday, the same day Toronto and Minnesota play Game 3\. 

In the first Toronto game, Britta Curl-Salemme was assessed a major and a game misconduct for a head hit on Renata Fast. Curl-Salemme has been suspended for one game as well.
