# Sometimes Life Hands You Lemons

The Leafs can blame a lot of things out of their control today: the sub 20 hour turnaround from beating Washington in Toronto last night to playing a matinee game in Carolina, the poor reffing, bad bounces, the list goes on.

The thing is each of the goals against was ugly. The first goal is one [Ben Scrivens](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/111745/ben-scrivens?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) would likely want back, the second goal was kicked top shelf by [Luke Schenn](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54281/luke-schenn?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) after [Chad LaRose](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54276/chad-larose?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) whiffed and the third goal came after Scrivens stoned [Eric Staal](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54239/eric-staal?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) but no one backchecked leaving the unstable on his skates [Jeff Skinner](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/111523/jeff-skinner?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) to pot the rebound.

The bright spot? When life hands him lemons [Phil Kessel](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54905/phil-kessel?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) puts them just under the crossbar. Shit happens, on to the next one Leafs fans.
