Apparently losing the [Bruins](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/teams/BOS?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) did the Leafs some good. They brought the thunder down on the [Thrashers](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/teams/ATL?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) with [Alexei Ponikarovsky](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54295/Alexei%5FPonikarovsky?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) scoring two goals. [Ian White](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54283/Ian%5FWhite?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) was a plus three on the night. There was a lot to be happy about with this game.
