# The Monster Comes Home

The Rangers come to our barn tonight after losing in overtime to the Leafs on [Phil Kessel](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54905/phil-kessel?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com)'s goal. They'll be without $14.55M in salary as both [Marian Gaborik](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54709/marian-gaborik?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) and [Chris Drury](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54196/chris-drury?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) will miss tonight's game because [we broke them](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SR1UfKQ7h5M&ref=pensionplanpuppets.com). I don't want to say I'm entirely happy that [Colby Armstrong](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55445/colby-armstrong?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) injured a fellow bubble team's best and most injury prone player but it certainly doesn't hurt.

Oddly the Rangers [haven't called anyone up to replace them](http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/hockey/rangers/2010/10/21/2010-10-21%5Ftortorella%5Fsather%5Fdiffer.html?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com). That's odd because you'd think an [astute GM like Glen Sather](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6Vp6W7WiB4&ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) would know what to do in a situation like this. With all that empty cap space you'd think the Rangers should be able to call up promising AHL defender [Wade Redden](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54187/wade-redden?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) to help the team.

Might we see a big punchup tonight? The Leafs are obviously ready to tango with the Rangers after [Sean Avery](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55186/sean-avery?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com)'s ankle hack job on Komisarek. Unfortunately for the Rangers I think one thing we can count on this Leafs squad for is winning a whole lot of fights - especially against the Rangers.

The Leafs lineup remains unchanged. [Brett Lebda](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55731/brett-lebda?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) is still in for [Carl Gunnarsson](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/72010/carl-gunnarsson?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) even though with Gunner in the lineup the Leafs average twice as many points per game as without him. [Jonas Gustavsson](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/72169/jonas-gustavsson?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) gets the nod in net against [Martin Biron](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54859/martin-biron?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com). Gustavsson's last start in the ACC against the Rangers [was a beauty](http://www.nhl.com/ice/recap.htm?id=2009021113&ref=pensionplanpuppets.com): 36 saves on 38 shots before [Nikolai Kulemin](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54310/nikolai-kulemin?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) scored 39 seconds into OT.
