Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans!

There have been rumors swirling around the internet for a few months about a possible three-on-three hockey league coming soon that will draw in big names with big money. Something like LIV Golf, but on ice.

Well, it's probably just someone with a big mouth, big ideas, and nothing more.

> Since January, Chambers has been telling people he’s the chief executive officer of Major League Hockey, a supposed big-money startup three-on-three hockey league set to launch this fall. He says there will be a single-entity owner for 16 teams across North America. Each will have local general managers, coaches and a $30 million salary cap.

He says he has NHL personnel interested, and has gotten hockey agents and media to report as if it's true.

We've seen other leagues try and make an impact. The World Hockey Association was the only one to really attack the NHL head on. Without the WHA players would never have been getting a fair share of the NHL's profits, and we wouldn't have teams like the Edmonton Oilers or New York Islanders. A group of people talked about a WHA2 ahead of the 04/05 NHL lockout, but it never made it past one season at the SPHL level.

Max Chambers seems to love the game, he's always trying to buy into it, but he's a guy who appears and disappears whenever there's a sale on. He's the Quebec City of people, always mentioned when there's a team available, but never around for the final sale.
