The NHL Draft is next week and free agency very close behind, but the NHL tends to encourage teams to hold off on their moves to give the Finals the full spotlight. Well, after five games and a series that could drag on until June 24th, the teams have gotten impatient. The summer moves have started to flow. And if you ask me, these moves only add more attention onto hockey from fans of teams who likely have disconnected from the season already. Jacob Markstrom got traded from Calgary to New Jersey for a first round pick and a defensive prospect. Dubois' massive contract has a NMC that kicks in on July 1st, so LA got him out before that started. Maybe it'll go better for the Quebecer since this time he won't be choosing where he goes.
