Ah, the 70s. I’m not sure if this bunch is as coke fueled as the decade was, but uh....well it’s a group of players that’s for sure. Look the 60’s are tomorrow and they’re a good bunch, let’s just plow through.

#### #77 - [**Pavel Kubina**](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54325/pavel-kubina?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) **(2008-2009)**
Stats: 82GP - 14G - 26A - 40Pts - 94PM
Awards: N/A

08/09 Kubina is the best Kubina on this list, and yes, that isn’t a mistake down there. Kubina must not have cared much about his numbers, as he seemed to wear a new one every season. He put up much better numbers in #77 as he did #73, and played the entire season. 77 would be the last number Kubina would wear as a Maple Leaf, he would be traded with [Tim Stapleton](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54311/tim-stapleton?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) to the Atlanta Thrashers on July 1st 2009 for [Garnet Exelby](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55430/garnet-exelby?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) and [Colin Stuart](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55460/colin-stuart?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com)

#### #73 - Pavel Kubina (2006-2007)
Stats: 61GP - 7G - 14A - 21Pts - 48PM
Awards: N/A

The bad Kubina wore #73, so it’s good he got away from that number. Congrats on making this list twice Pavel!

#### #72 - [**Mathieu Schneider**](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/55443/mathieu-schneider?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) **(1996-1998)**
Stats: 115GP - 18G - 38A - 56Pts - 74PM
Awards: N/A

Brought over in what most people know as "the return of Wendel Clark part one" at the ‘96 deadline, Schneider played just over 100 games with the Leafs, missing most of 96/97 with an injury. He’d be flipped to the [Rangers](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/teams/new-york-rangers?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) just before the start of the 98/99 season. In the words of Randy Carlyle, he was "just ok" as a Maple Leaf.

#### #71 - Mike Foligno (1991-1993)
Stats: 129GP - 27G - 20A - 47Pts - 203PM
Awards: N/A

Another Leafs career that was cut short by injury (He missed most of 91/92 with a broken leg), Foligno played out the twilight of his career in Toronto, being traded to Florida weeks into the 94/95 season for cash. Foligno’s biggest moment as a Leaf is now, because it keeps the other 71 off the list.

**That other 71:** [**David Clarkson**](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/players/54972/david-clarkson?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) **(2013-2015)**
Biggest accomplishment: Getting traded for Nathan Horton. Or was it getting suspended 10 games in the pre-season? I’m not sure. 118 games played. 26 points. Traded for LTIR space.

### Who as the best #71 for the Maple Leafs?

| Mike Foligno | 376 |
| ---------------------------- | --- |
| David Clarkson (I’m a troll) | 160 |

As always the research was done via [Hockey-Reference.com](http://hockey-reference.com/?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com). A great site, and white list them on your ad-blocker, hey?
