Of all the points in time for a two day break in the playoff schedule, it winds up being now. Tomorrow's game may be a definitive turning point in the Maple Leafs franchise, but as a wise man once said, "history is replete with turning points. We must have faith that the Universe will unfold as it should."

I only wish it would unfold a bit faster right now. There's probably going to be a practice this morning, so get ready to hear about some line changes, and perhaps who will start in net tomorrow.

Until then, we can laugh at the Oilers.

## Other News

Things did not go well for the Oilers last night, losing 5-1 to the Golden Knights who took a 2-1 lead in that series. This despite Vegas losing their goalie to an injury during the game.

Chicago won the NHL Draft Lottery, jumping up two spots, essentially being gifted Connor Bedard who is already considered to be the next generational talent in the game. All the rest of the teams will pick in the order determined by the standings.

Notable on the above roster is Raphäelle Tousignant, who is the first woman to join the national team. One of her goals is to raise awareness that there is no women's hockey category at the Paralympic Games, so she has to play on the men's team, but there are still many women para-hockey players in the world. In prospect news, Seattle took game six over Kamloops, leaving Fraser Minten with a bit of a wait to the Memorial Cup later this month. It worked out fine last year for William Villeneuve and the Sea Dogs. 

In USHL action, Youngstown has taken a 2-1 lead in their series of Chicago Steel. Nicholas Moldenhauer had three shots and no goals in that one. They play game four tonight.
