Happy Thursday, PPP! I spent last night watching the Philadelphia Flyers rookies and squealing like a little girl, but don’t worry, I still had time to collect some links for you. Today is the last day of the offseason, and I for one am ready for hockey. *Extremely* ready. So ready I can practically taste it.

By the way, if you have ideas as to what hockey tastes like, please include them in the comments. I’m guessing something maple-flavored.

In other news, rumors about training camp holdouts are flying around. The best ones all involve David Pastrnak, because laughing at the Bruins is a favorite hobby of mine.

> David Pastrnak remains in the Czech Republic so it's unlikely he'll be in Boston for the start of camp tomorrow even if a deal is reached.

Take your time, Bruins. That’s definitely the right move here.

On to your links!

It's far less common for a star to go down with the ship, playing out their final seasons with the only team they've ever known even though they realize they don't have a shot at finishing with a Cup or even a playoff run. But it's not unheard of – Shane Doan's recent retirement was one example. Here are five more.
