# FTB: The Maple Leafs now have one win and one loss on their road trip

After their easy 7-4 victory against the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday, the Leafs stumbled Friday night, losing in overtime 3-2 to the Colorado Avalanche. The Leafs trailed the Avs most of the game until James van Riemsdyk tied it up in the final minutes of regulation. However, overtime didn’t work out.

“Nate MacKinnon outplays the Leafs, and a tired team can’t do more than get the loser point.”

The Leafs have today off before heading to Las Vegas to face the Golden Knights on New Year’s Eve to finish their road trip and 2017\. The Knights have an incredible 25-9-2 record which, though I have not investigated, I assume is the best ever for an expansion franchise in the modern NHL era.
