Hello Leafs prospects fans! It was an alright week for the prospects, a point or two for everyone, nothing really outstanding. I mean, aside from them being Leafs prospects.

Two teams I must shout out for being on top of their leagues. First, the Sarnia Sting and Ryan McGregor are on top of the Ontario Hockey League standings with 9 wins and one loss. A really good start for those long suffering Sting fans.

Another team that’s super hot are the Penticten Vees and Ryn O’Connell, who have eight wins and one tie so far in the BCHL season.

A good start for the Ryan’s! Let’s get into it.

### Ontario Hockey League

**Eemeli Räsänen (D) -** *0G, 1A, -2*
Kingston Frontenacs - 5-2-0-2

Oct 12th: @ Peterborough Petes
**L 2-1 -** *0G, 1A, +1*
Oct. 13th: vs Peterborough Petes
**L 3-2 SO -** *0G, 0A, -1*
Oct. 14th: @ Hamilton Bulldogs
**L 4-3 SO -** *0G, 0A, -2*

The Fronts had a bad week, all losses. But they were either shootouts or a single goal, so close losses. 2/6 points.

**Keaton Middleton (D) -** *0G, 2A, -1*
Saginaw Spirit - 2-5-1-0

Oct. 11th: @ Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds
**L 6-3 -** *0G, 1A, -1*
Oct. 14th: vs Kitchener Rangers
**L 3-2 -** *0G, 0A, -1*
Oct. 15th: vs Mississauga Steelheads
**W 4-3 -** *0G, 1A, +1*

The Spirit were not inspired by my sassing them last week and only won a single game this week, over the bottom feeding Steelheads. If this continues, will we see Middleton on a better team for the end of the season?

**Fedor Gordeev (D) / Nicolas Mattinen (D)**
*0G, 2A, +5 / 1G, 1A, +2*
Flint Firebirds - 5-3-1-0

Oct. 11th: vs Guelph Storm
**W 7-1 -** *0G, 0A, +2 / 1G, 0A, +2*

Oct. 14th: vs Mississauga Steelheads
**W 5-3 -** *0G, 2A, +2 / 0G, 1A, +2*

Oct. 15th: vs Kitchener Rangers
**L 5-3 -** *0G, 0A, +1 /* *0G, 0A, -2*

Flint is on fire this year, and the newest team in the O is finally over .500\. Both Gordeev and Mattinen are on their way towards career highs in points as well.

**Ryan McGregor (F) -** *0G, 2A, +3*
Sarnia Sting - 9-1-0-0

Oct. 13th: vs Mississauga Steelheads
**W 8-1 -** *0G, 1A*

Oct. 14th: vs Guelph Storm
**W 6-1 -** *0G, 1A, +3*

Oct. 15th: @ Windsor Spitfires
**W 3-2 -** *No Points*

The Sting were not stung this week.

### Western Hockey League

**Ian Scott (G) -** *Injured*
Prince Albert Raiders - 3-4-2-0

Oct. 13th: vs Regina Pats
**L 2-1 OT -** *Did Not Play*
Oct. 14th: @ Brandon Wheat Kings
**L 5-3 -** *Did Not Play*
Oct. 15th: @ Brandon Wheat Kings
**L 6-5 OT -** *Did Not Play*

Poor Ian Scott is still on IR, and the Raiders are suffering for it.

### Junior A

**Ryan O'Connell (D) -** *0G, 1A*
Penticten Vees, BCHL - 8-0-0-1

Oct. 13th: @ Merritt Centennials
**W 3-2 OT -** *0G, 1A*
Oct. 14th: vs Victoria Grizzlies
**W 4-2 -** *No Points*

Vee stands for Victory and they are living up to their name!

### NCAA

**Nolan Vesey (F)**

Oct. 13th: @ Boston College
**W 5-2 -** *Did Not Play*
Oct. 14th: @ Merrimack
**W 4-1 -** *Did Not Play*

Greenway is still off dealing with personal issues. All the best to James.

**Joseph Woll (G) -** *48Sh, 41Sv, 0.854sv%*
Boston College Eagles
Overall: 1-1-1 / Conference: 1-0

Oct. 13th: vs Wisconsin

Oct. 15th: @ Providence
**W 4-3 OT -** *31Sh, 28Sv, .903sv%*

Woll wasn’t great against Wisconsin, but played well against Providence.

**Dakota Joshua (F) -** *1G, 0A,*
Ohio State Buckeyes

Oct. 14th: vs RPI
**T 1-1 -** *0G, 0A, -1*

The Buckeyes didn’t want to make RPI feel bad about themselves this week and let them go home with two ties.

Rasanen is on top! With most of these kids being defence I don’t know if we’ll see crazy numbers, but things look fine so early into the season.
