Mitch Marner has been invited to the Hockey Canada national teams’ summer showcase.

Canada’s National Junior Team Sport Chek Summer Development Camp (41 players) will be hosted in Toronto July 30-Aug. 2, and will feature a four-game series against the Finland, Sweden and the United States from Aug. 3-6 in Plymouth, Mich. The full roster is available from Hockey Canada, and includes many players who are about to be drafted on Friday.

The tournament in Plymouth is at the home of USA Hockey's National Team Development Program. Prior to Canada's arrival, the USA plays a split squad set of matches against Finland and Sweden. A single Team USA participates in the four day tournament once Canada joins.

USA Hockey has the full schedule available. There were streaming options available for last year's tournament so we'll update you this summer if it's possible to watch these games.

Marner will be, like most elite young hockey players, very busy this summer.

He will be at the Leafs development camp in Niagara Falls in early July, and then after the Plymouth tournament, he has some time to finish training before Leafs rookie tournament in London, which he may be invited to again.

Shortly after that event, he will be joining the Leafs main training camp, which will be held partly in Halifax this year.
