Toronto Maple Leafs prospects report: Good bye Nolan Vesey, is Bracco back-o?

New, comments

Maine is eliminated from the Hockey East playoffs, Victoria clinches a playoff spot, and Keaton Middleton is the odd man out.

We’re inching closer and closer to all our prospects in the playoffs. CHL teams are less than ten games away and the NCAA teams are starting, about to start, or already eliminated!

Jeremy Woll and the BC Eagles had a bye week, waiting for the first round of Hockey East playoffs to end to find out their opponent. After Vermont eliminated Nolan Vesey and Maine, we had our match. Boston College will host the Vermont Catamounts next weekend.

This is it for Nolan Vesey this season, unless he leaves school. This was his third year at Maine, so he has one more to go, unless the Maple Leafs convince him otherwise. I wouldn’t expect them to, however.

Dominic Toninato and UMD starts their playoffs this upcoming weekend against Miami (Ohio) in NCHC action.

In the CHL, the Victoria Royals clinched a playoff spot after a six game win streak moved them from one spot below the wild card to guaranteeing them a spot. if they keep this up they may move right into a BC Division playoff spot before the season is over.

Jeremy Bracco hasn’t been himself since the trade to Windsor, and JJ spoke with Bracco earlier this week. However, on Sunday Bracco was his old self, netting 1 goal and 3 assists in a 7-3 win over the Sudbury Wolves.

All the CHL teams have clinched a playoff spot, except the Saginaw Spirit. they have an enormous gap to fill, and it’s safe to say Keaton Middleton will be the only Leafs prospect not to play a playoff game this year, unless he joins the Marlies once the OHL season is over.
