Toronto Marlies Training Camp: Roster & Schedule

It's the Marlies turn to open training camp, and players report today to the MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence.

The big camp has been whittled down enough that the Marlies will start their work at preparing for a new season. Today at the MasterCard Centre there's an on-ice workout from 1-4PM and media availability will follow.

A lot of faces from Leafs camp and Orlando on that list. The most obvious space fillers are the goalies since Sparks/Bibeau are still at Leafs camp. There's open slots in Orlando so that's where these players will be fighting for.

There are someimportant Marlies from last season missing from that list, that number should change with more cuts from Leafs camp, Connor Brown, William Nylander, etc...

Marlies camp doesn't follow the exact pattern of Leafs camp as they await more cuts before making their east coast trip. Practice at the MasterCard Centre today and tomorrow, then they leave on Wednesday for a 3 game series vs the Montreal Canadiens new affiliate, the St. John's IceCaps. They will return to Toronto on October 5th.

Practices at the Ricoh Coliuseum will take palce October 6th to 8th and the Toronto Marlies 11th season kicks off October 11th a home against the new Winnipeg Jets affiliate, the Manitoba Moose on Friday October 9th.

We'll keep you abreast of camp additions and cuts as it moves forwards.
