Hockey is back! Kind of. Sort of. In an "exhibition games for the World Cup of Hockey" kind of way.

But that’s still hockey. Better yet, it’s hockey involving the Toronto Maple Leafs, because Roman Polak is playing - and already putting his shot on display for all to fear. Observe:

Now, Polak didn’t get the goal - that honour goes to Tomas Plekanec in front of the net - but that was, without a doubt, a hell of a shot to get the puck in and draw the game within one with just under three minutes to go.

Unfortunately for the Czechs and Polak, they did end up falling to the Russians, 4-3. Fortunately, it didn't really matter, because exhibition games.

And fortunately for the rest of us, we got to see that Polak shot. Now here’s to him bringing it throughout the NHL season!
