Oh my word. In case you weren't already in love with Auston Matthews, you probably are now.

This summer's first overall pick scores the Leafs' first goal of the season, in his first NHL game, on his first NHL shot. In case you were wondering, he's now on pace for 492 goals this season. I think he can manage that.

William Nylander and Zach Hyman got the assists. I'm feeling okay about the Leafs' future right now.
