In pushing the game to overtime, they denied the Sirens a full three points, elimininating them from the playoff hunt. It was exciting to see the Sirens pull their goalie with less than two minutes left in a tie game because any result less than a regulation win meant their season was over. For Toronto, the loser point puts the team one point behind the Ottawa Charge who sit in that fourth and final playoff spot. The Charge play Boston today in their second-last game of the season, a regulation win punches their ticket to the playoffs. Anything less than a regulation win and Toronto has the opportunity to leapfrog Ottawa in the standings on the final day of the regular season when the two Ontario rivals face off on Saturday at 2pm.
