### Semifinal Schedule

#### Sweden at Finland

Game time: 9:00am EST

The game pits the best defence in the tournament from Sweden against the best offence from Finland.

The friendly neighbours—I saw fans in Swedish yellow waving Finnish flags in the quarterfinals—won't be so friendly when they face each other for the right to play for gold.

#### Russia at USA

Game time: 1:00pm EST

The game pits the classic hockey rivals against each other with the USA having the best goaltending in the tournament, and Russia having a complete game that doesn't show any glaring weaknesses.

Auston Matthews gets a chance to add to his point total—he currently sits at 200th all time and he hasn't even finished his first tournament yet. The Russian players get another chance to make a name for themselves to an audience that's largely ignored them. ### Relegation

Switzerland secured their place in next year's tournament with [two convincing wins](http://www.worldjunior2016.com/en/news/blr-sui/?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) over Belarus who now move down to the Division I tournament. Switzerland will play in the group that begins in Montréal next year.
