After the [Penguins](http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/teams/PIT?ref=pensionplanpuppets.com) won the Stanley Cup last summer I made the seemingly insane argument that [a Leafs' win had been the catalyst for their success](https://www.pensionplanpuppets.com/the-2009-stanley-cup-champion/). In retrospect, that was bang on. Tonight Crosby won't even be gracious enough to welcome the Leafs and thank them in person!\*
