Finnish netminder Kasimir Kaskisuo has just signed a two-year contract with the Maple Leafs, one that will kick in at the beginning of the 2016-2017 season.

He was a tandem with Joonas Korpisalo along with Kevin Lankinen in Jokerit U20 in 12/13. Korpisalo was drafted, stayed in the Jokerit system and our guy went to school here--smart move obviously.Some of Kaskisuo's excellent saves are on display in the game recap for UMD vs. Providence, where they won 2-1 to advance to the Northeast Regional Final.

Kaskisuo will join the Toronto Marlies on an ATO for the rest of the regular season.
