In part three of the junior schedules the QMJHL is up for review. You can find the OHL and WHL covered in previous entries.

Since it’s July, I’m going to list the junior eligible prospects, whether they end up on the Leafs, Marlies, or Solar Bears. The ones that can move on to the pro’s I’ve marked with an asterisk*

Dmytro Timashov* - Shawinigan Cataractes
2015-16 Stats: 57GP - 22G - 63A - 85Pts

Timashov is signed to a contract with the Maple Leafs so most likely he won’t be back in the Q next season, though Shawinigan would love to have him back for a full season. I can’t see the Leafs sending him down, even if he shows up to camp 15 minutes late.

Updated: Timashov says he'll be a Marlie next season. Thanks Timo! Couldn't have waited until August to say this obvious news and let me have one day for this article?

Key Dates:

September 23: Versus Victoriaville Tigres

Shawinigan opens the season against a team that was upset badly in the playoffs, the Victoriaville Tigres. The Cataractes want to start off strong and could do so here, unless they fall victim to the success then failure jr hockey model.

October 9: Versus Val D’or Foreurs

A Thanksgiving Sunday matinee for Shawinigan.

December 10: Visiting Rouyn-Noranda Huskies

The first of games that see a rematch of the QMJHL Finals, against reigning champion, the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.

January 10: Visiting Chocoutimi Sagueens

If Shawinigan is in success mode, they buy, if it’s over, they sell and start the junior cycle all over again.

March 18: Versus Val D’or Foreurs

The season ends, or do the playoffs begin?

Martins Dzierkals - Rouyn-Noranda Huskies
2015-16 Stats: 59GP - 24G - 43A - 67Pts

QMJHL Champion, and Memorial Cup runner up Martins Dzierkals is heading back to the Q for another kick at the can. Dzierkals is heading into his third Q season and will not want to fall from the hihgs he had last year: Helping Latvia move to the top Division in the World Juniors, winning the QMJHL Championship, and making it to the finals of the Memorial Cup.

Key Dates:

September 22: Versus Blainsville-Broisband Armada

Opening the season against a team you walloped in the playoffs is always fun, and the RNH will get to to play another game in the Battle of the Hyphens.

September 28: Visiting Val D’or Foreurs

The other team up in the Quebec wilderness is the biggest rival for the Huskies, and this is the first of TEN games against each other.

December 10: Versus Shawinigan Cataractes

The QMJHL Finals rematch we want is here, but what does Shawinigans roster look like?

January 13: Versus Sherbrooke Pheonix

If the Huskies are making another run, we’ll find out by this game.

March 12: Versus Val D’or Foreurs
March 18: Visiting Victoriaville Tigres

The final home/away games for the reigning champions. Off to the playoffs to defend their title.

TL;DR - When do they play each other?

Calm down skippy. With Timashov on contract, he’s probably going to the Marlies (He is). Check back after camp to confirm (by that I meant development camp)
