Rangers' coverage: Blueshirt Banter

The Rangers face the Leafs at the ACC tonight, fresh off getting torched by the Hawks yesterday. Hey, that sounds like a familiar story, doesn't it?!

The Leafs have called up perennial site meme Viktor Loov who will tonight make his NHL press box debut.

Poor guy. I bet he would loov to play tonight.

The Rangers picked up wins in both of this season's series so far: 3-1 on October 30, and 4-3 on November 15. If will the Marleafs want to pull through with a surprise win tonight they are going to need some solid offence, especially on the special teams. According to war-on-ice.com, The Rangers penalty kill is among the worst in the league, allowing 8.1 goals/60 minutes. The Leafs allow 7.1/60. On the flip side the Rangers Power play is also bad, scoring 6 goals/60 minutes, 7th last in the league. On this metric though, The Leafs are dead last, with 5.4/.

Still, if there is an advantage to be had, this is it. The Rangers aren't going to gift The Leafs any goals. Kadri better have his A game penalty drawing tonight.

Perhaps also Leo Komarov will get that Rangers monkey off his back tonight? He has yet to score a goal against them, while still sitting as The Leafs leader in goals and points - and hits with 243! Also needing to step up tonight for a win is Nazem Kadri, who hasn't scored a goal since February 2.

Of course whether you really want the team to win tonight is up to you.
