Auston Matthews was named first star of the week by the NHL today.
After leading the NHL in scoring this past week with four goals and two assists, Matthews was given the honour above Chris Kreider of the Rangers, and Marc-Andre Fleery of the Penguins.
Auston Matthews is leading the rookies in points (32), goals (20), sits 10th in rookie assists (12), and is third in power play points (10).
